Common Mistakes to Avoid

If both sides of an inequation are multiplied or divided by a negative number, the inequality sign stays the same.

The solution set of x<4 is always the same, no matter what replacement set is used.

When a term moves from one side of an inequation to the other, the inequality sign must also change.
