  • Metre (m) and centimetre (cm) are units of length.
  • 1 metre = 100 centimetres.
  • To convert m to cm, multiply by 100.
  • Kilogram (kg) and gram (g) are units of weight.
  • 1 kilogram = 1000 grams.

  • Litre (L) and millilitre (mL) are units of capacity.
  • 1 litre = 1000 millilitres.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1 meter is the same as 10 centimeters.

When converting meters and centimeters, I can just add the numbers directly.

To convert cm to m, divide by 10.

1 meter = 100 centimeters

1 kilogram = 1000 grams

1 litre = 1000 millilitres
