- In India, money is in rupees (₹) and paise (p).
- 100 paise = 1 rupee.
Converting Rupees and Paise
- To convert rupees to paise, multiply by 100.
- To convert paise to rupees, divide by 100 or put a dot after two digits from the right.
- Example: ₹ 3 = 3 × 100 = 300 paise.
Addition and Subtraction of Money
- Always write rupees and paise in separate columns.
- Add or subtract paise first, then rupees.
