  • It is denoted by a capital letter.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

A line segment, a ray, and a line are the same because they all look like straight lines.

Any two angles that add up to 90° are complementary, even if they are not adjacent.

If two angles add to 180°, they are supplementary only if they form a straight line.

Point – has no length, width, or thickness

Line – extends infinitely in both directions

Ray – starts at a point and goes infinitely in one direction

Line Segment – has two endpoints
