Let us Think — A. Answer the following
1What happens when you join hands with your team?Show solution
Concept: Teamwork and unity.
Answer: When you join hands with your team, you become stronger together. Tasks that seem difficult alone become easier when everyone works as one. You can share ideas, support each other, and achieve your goals much faster. Together, a team can overcome any challenge.
2Why is helping each other important?Show solution
Concept: Cooperation and mutual support.
Answer: Helping each other is important because no one can do everything alone. When we help others, we build trust and friendship. It makes the work lighter and faster. Helping each other also makes everyone feel valued and cared for, and together we can solve bigger problems than we could on our own.
Let us Think — B. Think and discuss
1What makes you feel joyful?Show solution
Answer: I feel joyful when I spend time with my family and friends, when I play my favourite games, when I help someone in need, and when I learn something new. Celebrating festivals and sharing food with loved ones also makes me feel very happy and joyful.
2Can you think of a good activity that you can do together with a friend?Show solution
Answer: Yes! My friend and I can plant a small garden together. We can dig the soil, sow seeds, water the plants every day, and watch them grow. This activity teaches us patience, responsibility, and the joy of working as a team. We can also do a drawing or craft project together.
3Have you ever lost a game? How did you feel?Show solution
Answer: Yes, I have lost a game before. At first, I felt a little sad and disappointed. But then I realised that losing is a part of playing. It taught me to try harder and to improve my skills. I also learned that it is important to congratulate the winner and to play with a good spirit. Losing made me more determined to do better next time.
4Imagine you are the team leader of a group project, and two of your teammates disagreed with each other for some reason. What would you do to unite your team again?Show solution
Concept: Leadership, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
Answer: If I were the team leader, I would first calmly listen to both teammates separately to understand their points of view. Then I would bring them together and ask each one to speak respectfully. I would remind them that our goal is to complete the project successfully, and that disagreements are normal but should be solved with kindness. I would help them find a middle ground where both ideas are considered. I would encourage everyone to focus on the team's success rather than individual differences, so that we can work together happily again.

Working Together — A. Create your symbol for togetherness
1Create your symbol for togetherness by following the simple steps given below and paste a picture of what you have created in the box.
Steps:
1. Take a sheet of paper and fold it.
2. Draw one side of a body including head, neck, hand, dress, leg, and shoe.
3. Cut the paper along the drawing with scissors.
4. Unfold the paper gently.
5. Colour it based on your choice with crayons or sketch pens.
B. Paste a picture of what you have created.Show solution
Materials Required: Plain paper, pencil/pen, crayons or sketch pens, scissors.
Step-by-Step Process:
Step 1: Take a plain sheet of paper and fold it in half (like a book fold) so that both halves are equal.
Step 2: On one half of the folded paper, draw one side of a human figure — starting from the head at the top, then the neck, one arm stretched outward (towards the folded edge), the body with a dress or shirt, one leg, and a shoe at the bottom. Make sure the hand touches the folded edge of the paper.
Step 3: Carefully cut along the outline of the drawing using scissors. Do not cut along the folded edge where the hand is — this is the part that keeps the two figures joined.
Step 4: Gently unfold the paper. You will see two figures holding hands — a symbol of togetherness and unity!
Step 5: Colour the figures using crayons or sketch pens. You can give them different coloured clothes to show that people from different backgrounds stand together in unity.
Final Result: You will have a beautiful paper chain of two people holding hands, which is a symbol of togetherness.
Note for students: Paste the picture of your completed craft in the box provided in your textbook.
