श्लोकान्वयः तथा तस्य प्रकारौ

  • श्लोकान्वयविधिः द्वौ प्रकारौ भवतः — दण्डान्वयः खण्डान्वयः च।
  • दण्डान्वयः श्लोकान्वयविधेः प्रथमः प्रकारः। अत्र पदानि दण्डवत् सीधायां रेखायां योज्यन्ते।
  • खण्डान्वयः श्लोकान्वयविधेः द्वितीयः प्रकारः। अत्र प्रतिपदं प्रश्नोत्तरमाध्यमेन अन्वयः क्रियते।

दण्डान्वयः

  • दण्डान्वये कर्तृपदं, कर्मपदं, क्रियापदं चेति प्राथमिकी वाक्यरचनाशैली भवति।
  • विशेषणानि तत्तत् विशेष्यस्य पूर्वं योजनीयानि।
  • कर्तृपदस्य विशेषणं कर्तृपदात् पूर्वं, कर्मपदस्य विशेषणं कर्मपदात् पूर्वं स्थाप्यते।

दण्डान्वयस्य उदाहरणम्

  • शास्त्राणि अधीत्यापि भवन्ति मूर्खाः यः तु क्रियावान् पुरुषः सः विद्वान् (भवति)।
  • सुचिन्तितम् औषधं नाममात्रेण आतुराणाम् अरोगं न करोति।
  • अस्मिन् अन्वये केचन, भवति, यथा इति पदानि अध्याहार्यरूपेण योज्यन्ते।

खण्डान्वयः तथा आकाङ्क्षादयः सहकारीकारणानि

  • खण्डशः अन्वयः खण्डान्वयः इति।
  • अत्र आरम्भे सम्पूर्णश्लोकस्य अन्वयः न क्रियते; प्रतिपदं प्रश्नोत्तरैः अन्वयः क्रियते।
  • श्लोकस्य अन्वयार्थम् अवबोधनार्थं च चत्वारि सहकारीकारणानि भवन्ति — आकाङ्क्षा, योग्यता, आसत्तिः, तात्पर्यम्।
