  • Successor of a number is the number that comes just after it. It is obtained by adding 1.

  • The predecessor of 1 is 0, which is not a natural number.

  • Whole numbers follow certain rules under addition and multiplication.
  • Closure Property: Sum or product of two whole numbers is always a whole number.
  • Commutative Property: a + b = b + a and a × b = b × a
