- The mother’s emotional state affects the foetus.
- Tension, stress, anxiety, distress, fear, and grief can make the baby irritable after birth.

- After the first missed period, pregnancy can be checked by a urine test by a doctor.
- Pregnant women should register at the nearest health centre or doctor as soon as possible.
- In villages, help from an ASHA or Anganwadi Worker can be taken to reach the nearest health centre.
