  • Vegetable stains are acidic in nature and require alkaline reagents such as borax.
  • Animal stains such as blood, milk, and egg contain protein and heat must be avoided.
  • Grease stains need grease absorbents and solvents like chalk and talcum powder before removing the colouring matter.
