- उपसर्गाः धातुशब्दयोः पूर्वं प्रयुज्यन्ते।
- एषां कार्यं धात्वर्थपरिवर्तनम् अस्ति।
- उपसर्गाः स्वातन्त्र्येण न प्रयुज्यन्ते।
हार शब्देन उपसर्गपरिवर्तनम्
- 'हार' शब्दस्य अर्थः 'माला' इति।
- प्र उपसर्गेण 'प्रहार' भवति, यस्य अर्थः मारणम्।
- आ उपसर्गेण 'आहार' भवति, यस्य अर्थः भोजनम्।
