Water Vapour and Humidity

  • Water vapour varies from zero to four per cent by volume of the atmosphere.
  • Water in the atmosphere exists in three forms: gaseous, liquid, and solid.

  • Clouds are classified into four basic types: cirrus, cumulus, stratus, and nimbus.
  • Cirrus clouds form at high altitudes between 8,000 m and 12,000 m.
