Its salient features include:
- Data is arranged in rows and columns.
- The intersection of a row and column is a cell.
- Cells can contain values, labels, formulas, or functions.
- Derived values are calculated from arithmetic expressions and functions.
- It supports easy calculations, what-if analysis, and automatic recalculation when input values change.
- Cell references may be relative, absolute, or mixed.

Difference:
- A workbook is the complete Excel file.

1. Enter 120 in A1.
2. Enter 320 in A2.
3. Select the range A1:A2.
4. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Fill and then click Series.
5. In the Series dialog box, choose Columns.
6. Set Step value to the difference between the terms: .
7. Set Stop value to 2300.
8. Click OK.
Excel will fill the series by adding 200 each time until 2300 is reached.
