Teak, Sal, and Sandalwood are important trees of Tropical Deciduous Forests. Rosewood is found in Tropical Evergreen Forests, while Sundari is found in Mangrove/Tidal Forests.

Breathing roots

Pneumatophores are breathing roots found in mangrove forests that help trees survive in waterlogged conditions by allowing them to breathe above water.

Long roots, Thick fleshy stems, Thorns or spines

Desert vegetation has long roots to reach underground water, thick fleshy stems to store water, and thorns instead of leaves to reduce water loss through transpiration.

Sundari

Sundari is the most important tree of tidal forests. The name 'Sundarbans' comes from this tree. It provides hard, durable wood used for boat building.
