  • People keep spare money in a bank because it is safe and earns interest.
  • Borrowers take loans from banks to meet financial needs.

  • A recurring deposit account is somewhat like a fixed deposit account.
  • In this account, a fixed amount is deposited every month.
  • The amount chosen is normally a multiple of ₹5.

3. Formula for Interest on Recurring Deposit

  • For recurring deposits, the first month’s deposit stays with the bank for the full number of months, while the last deposit stays for only one month.
  • The deposits can be thought of as equivalent principal for one month.
  • The sum of the first n natural numbers is used in the derivation.
