What to Focus On

  • A point has no size — only position.
  • A line segment has two endpoints.
  • A line extends infinitely in both directions.

  • Acute < 90°
  • Right = 90°
  • Obtuse > 90° but < 180°

  • Always align the protractor's center with the vertex.
  • Use the correct scale — inner or outer — depending on the direction of the angle.
  • Construct angles step by step using a ruler and protractor.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

All triangles with a 90° angle are called equilateral triangles.

The largest angle in a triangle is always opposite the smallest side.

A protractor measures only up to 90°, so angles above 90° cannot be measured directly.

Memory Tips

Point has no size, only position

Line segment has two endpoints and fixed length

Ray has one starting point and goes on forever in one direction

Angle is made of two rays from a common point
