Basic Geometrical Concepts
- A point shows a fixed position and has no size.
- A line extends infinitely in both directions.
- A line segment has two endpoints and a fixed length.
Types of Angles and Measuring Them
- Angles are measured in degrees (°).
- Acute angle: less than 90°.
- Right angle: exactly 90°.
Triangles and Their Types
- A triangle has three sides and three angles.
- Sum of all angles in a triangle = 180°.
- Triangles are classified by sides: equilateral, isosceles, scalene.
Symmetry and Reflection
- A figure has symmetry if it can be divided into two identical halves by a line.
- This line is called the line of symmetry or mirror line.
