  • The place values from right to left are: Ones, Tens, Hundreds, Thousands, Ten Thousands, Hundred Thousands, Millions, Ten Millions, Hundred Millions.
  • Each group of three digits forms a period: Ones, Thousands, Millions.
  • The digit's value depends on its position in the number.

Converting Between Indian and International Systems

  • 1 Lakh = 100,000 = One Hundred Thousand
  • 10 Lakh = 1,000,000 = 1 Million
  • 1 Crore = 10,000,000 = 10 Million
