1. Pressure and Its Meaning

  • Pressure is defined as force per unit area.

  • Air moves from a region of high air pressure to a region of low air pressure.
  • The speed of escaping air is higher when the pressure difference is higher.
  • When land heats faster than water during the day, air above land rises and sea breeze blows from sea to land.
