  • A closed figure bounded by four line segments is called a quadrilateral.
  • In quadrilateral ABCD, AB and DC are opposite sides, BC and AD are opposite sides, and AC and BD are the diagonals.

  • In a parallelogram, opposite sides are equal.
  • In a parallelogram, opposite angles are equal.

4. Standard Angle Examples

  • If one angle of a parallelogram is known, the opposite angle is equal and the adjacent angle is supplementary.
  • In a rhombus, adjacent angles add up to 180°.
  • If one diagonal of a rhombus equals a side, the rhombus angles are 60°, 120°, 60°, 120°.
