  • Godavari is the second-longest river in India and largest in peninsular India.
  • Krishna is the fourth-largest river in India by water volume and basin area.

Climate of Telangana

  • Climate type: Tropical semi-arid (Steppe) to tropical savanna (Aw) according to Koppen classification.
  • Three main seasons: Summer (March–May), Southwest Monsoon (June–September), Winter (December–February).
  • Northeast Monsoon occurs in October–November but contributes only 13% of annual rainfall.
