  • A solid is a three-dimensional figure because it has length, breadth, and height.
  • Volume means the space occupied by a solid.
  • Surface area means the sum of the areas of all the surfaces of a solid; it is also called total surface area.

  • A cuboid is a rectangular solid with six rectangular faces.
  • A cuboid has length, breadth, and height as distinct dimensions.

  • A cube is a special case of cuboid where l = b = h = a.

  • The general formula is Cost = Rate × Quantity.
