2(i)Give an account of the distribution of mica in India.Show solution
Mica in India is distributed mainly in Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rajasthan. It is also found in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. In Jharkhand, high-quality mica occurs in the lower Hazaribagh plateau belt. In Andhra Pradesh, Nellore produces the best quality mica. In Rajasthan, the mica belt extends from Jaipur to Bhilwara and around Udaipur. Other occurrences are in Mysuru and Hassan in Karnataka, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Madurai and Kanniyakumari in Tamil Nadu, Alleppey in Kerala, Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, and Purulia and Bankura in West Bengal.
